Meet Heather Jenkins

Harpist

Heather is a freelance harpist in L.A. and is accomplished in both classical and popular/ contemporary musical styles.  She has an undergraduate degree from USC and a Masters in Harp Performance from Indiana University where she studied under Susan McDonald.

She has performed as a soloist, playing well-known harp concertos with several local orchestras and ensembles, such as the L.A. Solo Repertoire Orchestra and the West Valley Chamber Orchestras, plus performing with various community orchestras and ensemble groups.  She formed an ensemble group with cellist  Dr. Janice Foy called “The Ascending Wave.”

Currently, she performs at the Peninsula Hotel in Beverly Hills for their High Tea.  Heather has sought to expand the horizons of harp repertoire by using Jazz harmony in many innovative arrangements of various popular tunes.

Cellist

Originally, this ensemble was formed to play for the Sunday brunches for the Woodland Hills Bob Burns Restaurant. The harp and cello duo may also expand to harp, cello, and soprano or harp, cello, and violin. In addition to parties and special events, the ensemble also performs for children, particularly those with special needs.
